Kaeli and Jackson // Engagement

Hello world…what a start to 2014! This month has been nothing but crazy and I still haven’t posted a roundup of the year, sorry about that! But there are very good reasons to why I’ve been so busy. Things for The Rolodex Rental Co. have been in full swing and we now finally have a full furnished space that we call home. It was a lot of work but it was all worth it. I will update you more on that later. Another reason I’ve been so busy is that in about 5 days, Jordan and I will  be on our way to Haiti for a week and then we will be crossing over the border to the Dominican Republic for another week. Many adventures await and I can’t wait to get out of this freezing cold weather. BUT one good thing about this weather is that I’ve had the pleasure of taking multiple engagement sessions lately. I have Kaeli and Jackson for you today and they are totally awesome. And I feel totally awesome that I can now call them friends. I can’t wait to capture the rest of their story in the exact same location this summer. Enjoy!

Cheryl Britsch - Great pictures! Interesting settings and a beautiful couple!

Elise and Aaron // Engagement

My goodness, this winter has been so awesome. Busy of course, but that happens when you have so many amazing people to wrap gifts for and so many new business adventures that you are preparing for :) The one thing I’m loving most about this winter is the amazing couples I get to run around with in the snow. And we definitely have been getting our snow on this year. Elise and Aaron are the definition of adorable. I am so thankful that they braved the frigid temperatures with me so we could make some amazing photos together. I hope you enjoy their photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Cheers to an amazing winter and cheers to a Merry Christmas! I love you all and wish you the best Christmas ever! Oh and enjoy these cuties…

Kendra Ramseyer - oh I love this!!!!!

Rachel and David // Engagement

The snow is slowly falling outside and I am ever so thankful to be sitting in some warm slippers sipping on coffee. The last few weeks have been jam packed with craziness around here and it’s only going to get crazier for us Drubers! At the end of January, Jordan and I will be traveling back to Haiti for a week and then taking a bus over to the Dominican Republic for another week! We are so excited and can’t wait to get our traveling hearts back in motion! I haven’t even blogged any pictures from Haiti and now we are going back in a month! WHAT!? Feeling really blessed that all the timing worked out. God is good.

In other news, this past weekend we traveled to Virginia for a friend’s wedding and had a scary start to our trip home…just envision us driving a front wheel drive car through the mountains in 6 inches of snow with no cell service. Let’s just say…it was not pretty. We ended up staying the night in a motel in the middle-of-nowhere-West Virgina to wait out the storm. I am so happy to be home and so happy to have my orange fluffy cat keeping my legs warm every chance he can get.

BUT…even though winter is not always my best friend, winter can create some beautiful photos for two people in love. It’s so refreshing to have those lovely brown tones after a long summer of green and only green. That’s Indiana for ya :) Rachel and David are the bomb dot com. I’m serious, they had me giggling like a fool throughout the whole session. I just love photographing couples that feel like they have been my friends for years. It’s such a wonderful connection between photographer and couple…it creates magical photos. Thank you Rachel and David for being super awesome and for choosing me to capture your story. I can’t wait to take more pictures of you ridiculously good lookin’ people. P.S…..check out these tones…winter does has its perks.
