William Matthew Camp | Part 1

I usually always have something to say (I think it runs in my genes), but after uploading these photos to this post…I am speechless. I thought that graduating from high school was a big deal. I thought that graduating from college was an even bigger deal. I thought that getting married was the biggest deal of my life. But once my nephew was born, I realized that the biggest deal was yet to come. William Matthew Camp (I like to call him Wilbur) was born on February 23, 2011 and he is the cutest most precious gift God has placed in my life thus far (besides my husband of course). Just to clarify, my husband and I are not having babies and don’t plan to for a while. I know someone will ask after this post. :) But how can you not look into those big brown eyes and not fall in love? That’s what I did the moment I laid eyes on him.

I hope you enjoyed these photos and be looking for a Part 2 and a Part 3. Part 2 will be a sideshow so family and friends can soak up a ton of this kid! Part 3 is a surprise but I know you will love it :) Happy Easter everyone!

Nikki Zachery - Ashley…these pictures are absolutely beautiful!! Your post above is exactly how I felt when my first nephew was born! Just wait for your own…it’s unbelievable! I like to call my Will “Wilbur” also! Take care, Nikki

Molly & Sean :: Engagement

So a lot of things have been happening lately that I am so thankful for. This warm weather is definitely on the top of my list and it is making me so excited for the weddings and engagements I have lined up for the summer! Secondly, my sister had a baby around 7 weeks ago! His name is William and he is the most precious thing I have ever laid eyes on. He has brought a whole new perspective to my life and the life of my family. One little life just changing the hearts of everyone around! Love it! But I have some exciting blog posts surrounding that subject coming up soon, so look forward to those!

I have also been diligently working on re-branding my business. This is one of the hardest things I have done so far but I am immensely grateful for what I have discovered about myself and my photography in the process. I have been delving into my heart to find out how to best represent myself through my photography business and I can’t really grasp how rewarding and stressful that is, but I am ready to take this business to the next level.  So stay tuned for a stellar new website and blog in the next couple months.

Okay enough about all that…it’s now time to discuss how much I love the following couple. First of all, they are stinking adorable. We also went to the same high school and they were such troopers in the deathly cold wind that we experienced on the day of the shoot. Their shoot took place in their resting grounds of West Lafayette, Indiana. You can basically call them “high school sweethearts” because they have been together for as long as I can remember and that makes them that much cooler in my eyes! They are a very “real” couple and every single photo was oozing “them.” I feel so blessed to have captured this couple in intimate moments and am so thankful that they were so confident to be themselves for this shoot. Because of that…their story below is a true testament of their love.

OUR HERO’S END

So I know that I have been off the radar for a while, but it’s just so darn depressing outside that I barely leave the couch! I have been busy working on some new branding for the business and I am so so so excited to show you once it’s done! I think it will be an awesome representation of myself as an artist and there’s still a lot of work to go! So keep an eye out for that in the next coming weeks. But along with branding and a lot of couch sitting, I have decided that I want to blog a lot more. I don’t like being limited to blogging only when I have new pictures to post. This blog is like my own little digital journal and I hope to make it a habit to post tons and tons more about my life, my photography, and everything that I love about life.

So one thing that I love is my husband (obviously!) and I love how passionate he is about music. So I have left the couch a few times to go and support my husband’s band: Our Hero’s End. They’re pretty spunky if I do say so myself and are such a blast to watch. But I’ve done some random promos and have taken some live shots at any concert I can attend. Just recently I realized I haven’t posted any of them for you all to see! What was I thinking?! So here I am…blogging more and blogging about something that I love and support! So enjoy the photos and maybe do a little head banging to their music (found here: http://www.myspace.com/ourherosend ) while you look at them…it’s only fitting :)
